Synopsis
About When Her Light Faded
Han Seo-yeon has loved Kang Tae-jun since the moment she first saw him. When their grandfathers arrange a marriage between their families, she believes she has been given an impossible chance at happiness. Tae-jun sees it differently. Forced to abandon the uncomplicated life he preferred—and end his relationship with his friend and colleague, Choi Hae-rin—he enters the marriage resentful and determined to keep his heart beyond Seo-yeon’s reach. She meets his coldness with patience, fills their silent home with warmth, and tries desperately to become a wife he might one day choose. But three years of neglect change her. By the time Tae-jun begins to notice the cruelty of his family, the loneliness hidden behind Seo-yeon’s quiet smile, and the woman disappearing before his eyes, her light has already faded. His growing protectiveness comes too late to erase the years she spent feeling unwanted—or the doubts Hae-rin carefully plants between them. When a devastating lie convinces Seo-yeon that Tae-jun has chosen another woman, she finally walks away. Then she discovers she is carrying his child. For the first time, Tae-jun is forced to confront the truth: the wife he never wanted has become the woman he cannot live without. Winning her back will require more than wealth, authority, or promises. He must sever old loyalties, stand against his family, and prove that his love is not another obligation she must endure. But can he restore the light he was responsible for extinguishing?
Author notes
When Her Light Faded is a story about the quiet damage caused by emotional neglect—and the difficult work required to repair it. Seo-yeon’s journey is not only about being loved by Tae-jun. It is also about recognizing her own worth after spending years measuring it through the eyes of a man who refused to truly see her. Tae-jun’s journey, in turn, is about accountability. Love does not erase the pain he caused, and regret alone cannot earn forgiveness. He must change through his choices, his patience, and his willingness to accept that Seo-yeon has the right to walk away. At its heart, this novel asks whether love can survive after hope has faded—and whether a person who once caused deep hurt can become someone worthy of a second chance. Release Schedule- Every 3 days
