Moonlits Reads is a serialized fiction platform for browsing stories, creating accounts, saving books, purchasing coins, unlocking premium chapters, posting ratings or comments, and managing books as an approved admin. This policy explains the information we collect and how we use it to run the service.
Information We Collect
- Account information such as name, email address, profile image, and authentication identifiers.
- Reading activity such as saved books, read-later items, reading progress, unlocked chapters, ratings, and comments.
- Payment records such as coin package purchases, Stripe checkout identifiers, wallet ledger entries, and transaction status.
- Admin content data such as uploaded books, chapters, covers, author notes, moderation activity, and revenue records.
- Technical data such as device/browser information, logs, IP-derived region, and security events.
How We Use Information
- To create and secure accounts.
- To save reader libraries, bookmarks, progress, wallet balances, purchases, and unlocked chapters.
- To process payments, prevent duplicate wallet credits, and maintain purchase records.
- To provide admin tools, moderation, analytics, and payout reporting.
- To respond to support requests and improve the platform.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. Moonlits Reads does not store full card numbers. We store payment status, checkout references, purchased coin amounts, and related wallet records so readers can access paid content and admins can review revenue activity.
Sharing Information
We share information only as needed to operate Moonlits Reads, including with authentication, payment, hosting, database, email, analytics, storage, and support providers. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the platform, or to enforce our terms.
Your Choices
- You can update account information through your account provider or profile tools.
- You can remove books from your library or read-later shelf.
- You can contact us about account access, data questions, or deletion requests.
- You can choose not to buy coins or unlock premium chapters.
Data Security and Retention
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect account, payment, and content records. We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal or financial obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain accurate purchase and payout records.
